A Study On Work-Life Balance Among Women Employees Working In Banking Sector In Pakistan

In the current work settings, which move quickly and require a lot, balancing professional duties with personal time stands out as an increasing difficulty. This issue seems especially pronounced for women employed in service roles. This study explores how work life balance is influenced by organizational culture, work environment, career development and role overload with the moderating effect of transformational leadership. The data was initially collected from 50 respondents for pilot study, with the results of the study total of 210 of respondents (working women employed in banking sector) were asked to fill the questionnaire which analyzed using PLS-SEM through Smart PLS 3.2.9. The findings of the study showed that career development and transformational leadership had a positive and insignificant effect on work-life balance. The organizational culture and work environment had a positive and significant effect on work-life balance. The role overload had a negative and insignificant effect on work-life balance. In addition transformational leadership had a negative and insignificant moderation effect between career development and work-life balance. The transformational leadership had a positive and significant moderation effect between organizational culture and work-life balance and role overload and work-life balance. The transformational leadership had a negative and significant moderating effect between work environment and work-life balance. For woman workers, there should be practicable timings, and night shifts should be avoided. For women workers who face gender inequality, there should be strict requirements. As far as appraisals and promotions are concerned, there should be more transparency for women workers.
